EU Country Launch Coordinator for Product & Distribution readiness

For one of our customers, who is building a Rare Disease business unit, we are looking for an EU Country Launch Coordinator for Product & Distribution readiness. The EU Country Distribution Coordinator establishes and orchestrates the launch of the first Rare Disease product for the company in and between each market in the EU. The objective is to deliver the RD product within 10-15 days after EMA and price approval.

The role establishes and leads the cross functional country launch teams and ensures efficient and effective communication with the different functions in and across the organisation.

The role is focused on creating the required customer and patient value creation per market with respect to product and distribution readiness. This role drives cross market collaboration to reduce cost and increase service levels for rare disease patients.

This role is the key contact person for each market to establish and execute the product and market launch readiness. This role requires around 35% traveling.

Key Responsibilities

— Ensures product launch readiness for each EU market in 10-15 days after EMA or local price approval.

— Identifies per market the requirements for product and distribution launch readiness, including but not limited to label requirements, services required (e.g., direct to patient), forecast accuracy, complaint handling and compliance/quality needs.

— Oversees the execution of all related activities for all EU launches and drives cross market collaboration to increase efficiency.

— Works cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing Sites, Quality, Global Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Distribution, Market partners and other operations departments to ensure launches are completed successfully and compliant by the requested product launch date.

— Act as the central contact person for product launch readiness between the manufacturing site(s) and markets for all launches within scope.

— Develops detailed launch readiness and launch execution plans per market and contingency plans as required using project management tools and templates.

— Prepares launch scenarios, reviews launch readiness and execution project plans against targets and provides focus to ensure that short term critical activities and milestones are accomplished.

— Anticipates problems, keep team members informed and escalates potential/major issues.

— Provides support for specific launch roll-out activities including change control tracking and serialisation tracking.

— Identifies business needs where needed and proposes cross market/cross functional solutions.

 

In particular:

Identifies per market the requirements for product and distribution launch readiness, including but not limited to label requirements, services required (e.g., direct to patient), forecast accuracy, complaint handling and compliance/quality needs:

— Leads as the central contact person for product launch readiness between the manufacturing site(s) and markets for all launches within scope.

— Fosters and drives alignment and collaboration across markets.

— Identifies and articulates value propositions to build into the EU Product & Distribution launch strategy and plan.

— Works closely with countries, 3PL’s and other service providers to ensure appropriate budget allocation and management across the region, countries and functions.

 

Works cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing Sites, Quality, Global Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Distribution, Market partners and other operations departments to ensure launches are completed successfully and compliantly by the requested launch date:

— Develops detailed launch readiness and launch execution plans per market and contingency plans as required using project management tools and templates.

— Prepares launch scenarios, reviews launch readiness and execution project plans against targets and provides focus to ensure that short term critical activities and milestones are accomplished.

— Ensures successful collaboration with external vendors to enable new capability built.

— Joins country team’s preparation for key submissions, meetings and negotiations for distribution readiness,

 

Ensures product launch readiness for each EU market in 10-15 days after EMA or price approval:

— Develops the cross-functional process to launch within 10-15 days after EMA and/or price approval.

— Oversees launch sequence and enables prioritisation to meet each markets product launch date.

 

The Person

Education

— Master degree in supply chain or scientific discipline. Advanced degree in business with a concentration in product launch readiness and commercial management. Supply chain and logistics management is a plus.

— Essential: fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred: good knowledge of Italian and/or Spanish.

 

Experience requirements

— At least 5 years’ experience in a comparable role in the pharmaceutical industry.

— Proven track record to launch in 10-15 days after EMA and price approval.

— Thorough understanding of the label, pack and distribution requirements for different markets.

— Extensive experience in launching in a setting with delivery direct to patient across EU is strongly preferred.

— Extensive launch experience across multiple markets.

— Analytical thinker, who has a proven track record in implementation of solutions for patients across markets.

— Demonstrated strength in business planning, prioritization, tactical plan development and execution.

— Demonstrated experience of identifying and implementing meaning solutions for patients.

— Extensive and up to date knowledge of the market access landscape is preferred.

— Experience of leading and managing cross-functional/cross-market teams or matrix management collaboration.
